How can traffic management contribute to safety?

Traffic safety in The Netherlands is decreasing. This trend was for TrafficQuest the cause to give attention to this topic and to see how traffic management could contribute to improve traffic safety. First, the safety statistics were analysed and points of departure for further research were described. This was discussed with experts in a number of interviews and after that conclusions were drawn. The results of this research is only available in a Dutch report.

Update report on road-side systems

It looks like in-car systems have the future. A lot of functionality of road-side systems is put in-car. However, penetration rates of those kind of in-car systems is nog high enough to get rid of the road-side systems. But when will this be the case? This question was discussed with a challenge - a quick scan analysis by a group of experts with a short duration. After the publication of the report, new information on costs came available. Although TrafficQuest formally has come to an end in december 2016, we thought that our yearly booklet was too important. So therefore we decided to publish a new edition anyway.
